DESCRIPTION: Restoring 1200 acres of open water marsh while incorporating 6,848 feet of tidal creeks and 39 tidal ponds to enhance wildlife habitat. 

Eastpoint Beneficial Use Dredging Project

OWNER: United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)

LOCATION: Eastpoint, Florida

DESCRIPTION: Dredging of 7400 feet of navigable channel while beneficially using dredge spoil materials to construct 20 acres of marshland. 

East Pointe Aux Chenes Terrace Project

OWNER: Ducks Unlimited

LOCATION: Pointe Aux Chenes, Louisiana

DESCRIPTION: Construction of 50,500 linear feet of marsh terraces along with vegetative planting of constructed terraces. Marsh terraces are designed as a more cost-effective alternative for marsh creation utilizing hydraulically dredged material. The terraces provide habitat enhancement for waterfowl, fisheries, and oysters while naturally creating shallow water marsh via sediment distribution through tidal flow. 

Atchafalaya Delta Crevasse Project Phase III

LOCATION: Atchafalaya River Delta, Louisiana

DESCRIPTION: Excavation of 5,147 feet of river delta crevasse at the mouth of the Atchafalaya River near Morgan City, Louisiana. This project is intended to enhance wildlife habitat within the river delta.
